Safely Storage of Prescription Medications

To increase knowledge on how and why to safely store prescription medications we have raised awareness using the following talking points:

• 38% of childhood poisonings involve a grandparent?s medication
• Most people who abuse prescription drugs get them from FREE from a friend or relative.
• 1 in 5 teens admits to abusing pain pills

PPHD provided1,541 lock boxes March 2018?March 2019 to persons with at risk individuals in their homes with the assistance of fifteen partner agencies. The lock boxes provide education on them and have a flyer with them promoting safe disposal.??
